A Mississauga woman is facing drunk driving and drug charges following a collision with a Peel Regional Police cruiser on Monday, July 3.

A Mississauga woman is facing drunk driving and drug charges following a collision with a Peel Regional Police cruiser.

The crash occurred just after 1:30 a.m. on Monday, July 3 at the intersection of Hurontario Street and Central Parkway.

Police say the woman was driving at a high rate of speed as she tried to make a left turn. She lost control of the car, crashing into a light pole and the police car.

The officer exited the vehicle and arrested the woman. Neither she nor the officer were injured in the crash.

Police also found drugs in the investigation of the crash.

Natasha Tresoor, 39, has been charged with impaired driving, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, and failing to provide a breath sample.

She will be in Brampton court on July 13.
