Driver arrested on suspicion of impaired driving, police say
Two people were rushed to hospital in the wee hours of Tuesday morning after a pickup truck smashed headfirst into a traffic light at the corner of Church and Wellesley Streets.A male driver and a female passenger were in the car. Police later tweeted that the driver has been charged with impaired driving.
The force of the impact took down the traffic light and pieces of metal and plastic were strewn about the intersection after the collision occurred at about 1 a.m.
