A Mount Forest teen is facing a variety of charges after an alleged drunk driving crash in Arthur.

Wellington County OPP say the collision occurred around 12:30 a.m. Sunday on Smith Street.

A witness told police that a grey van was seen to lose control and hit a hydro pole, then drive off.

Police say they caught up with the van on Highway 6.

Its 18-year-old driver is facing charges relating to driving with an excess blood-alcohol level, failure to remain at the scene of a collision, and being a novice driver with a blood-alcohol level over zero.

No injuries were reported.
