An all-terrain-vehicle (ATV) driver was nabbed after he got stuck in a muck hole trying to evade police.

OPP say they attempted to stop an ATV rider on Lawson Road on June 26 shortly after 5 p.m.

The operator of the Honda ATV took off onto a nearby trail but was spotted several minutes later by police approximately 100 metres down the trail when he got stuck in a large mud hole.

OPP said the man had been drinking and blew over the warn range . He was given a three-day driver’s license suspension and had his ATV towed from the scene.

The 48-year-old Elora man was also charged with failing to stop and careless driving as well as failing to carry proper documentation and insurance.
