A Brampton truck driver is dead after a head-on collision between two transports on Highway 11 in Northern Ontario early Monday morning (May 23), according to the OPP.

Police say Ish Kahlon, 40, was driving east on the highway when he collided with a westbound truck around 4:40 a.m. the collision happened 20 kilometres west of Cochrane, which is north of Timmins. He died in the crash.

The driver of the eastbound truck suffered minor injuries, but his passenger suffered serious injuries. Both were taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment.

OPP Technical Collision Investigators and Collision Reconstructionists are working on the investigation to determine what caused the crash.
