The Burlington Skyway reopened Monday evening after it was closed in both directions for a police investigation.
Ontario Provincial Police Sgt. Kerry Schmidt said that officers were dealing with a “crisis on top of the bridge” that was “resolved successfully.”
“One person is being treated and assisted by professionals,” he said.
“We’ll get the highway moving very shortly.”
During the closure, vehicles were diverted onto Eastport Drive. Traffic in the area was very heavy. Officers started reopening the highway around 6:30 p.m.
