Police lights atop a cruiserA 28-year-old Chapleau man faces several drug- and driving-related charges following an arrest in Chelmsford on Sept. 8, Greater Sudbury Police said in a release.

Greater Sudbury Police Officers stopped a vehicle, according to the release, and arrested the suspect, who has not been named. A search of the vehicle allegedly revealed 376.8 grams of cocaine, 60.85 grams of marijuana and 14 codeine pills. The drugs seized had a value of $38,318.00, police said, and $1,520.00 in Canadian currency was also seized by officers.

The man was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of controlled substance (two counts), possession of property obtained by crime, driving while under suspension, and using plates not authorized for a motor vehicle.
