Calls from alert citizens steered Rideau Lakes OPP to a suspected drunk driver on Friday.
Residents called the police at 8:30 p.m. about a suspicious driver north of Delta on County Road 42. After stopping the driver, OPP officers arrested a male suspect and charged him with impaired driving and driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in his blood.
Alfred Lambert, 36, of Rideau Lakes Township, has an upcoming court appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice, Provincial Division in Brockville.
The investigation continues, police say.
