When patrol officers made a traffic stop in the city’s west end Friday night, they turned up a shotgun and cash.
What they suspect were illegal drugs have also been sent off for analysis.
City police report that they pulled over the vehicle on Carling Avenue near Kirkwood Avenue at about 11:30 p.m. and “during the interaction with the driver” the man was arrested.
Dimisteris Voulgaridis, 28, is charged with possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace, possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm without registration, unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon, possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon knowing its possession is unauthorized, unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle, possession of a firearm, prohibited or restricted weapon obtained by crime, possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order, careless storage of a firearm and two counts of failure to comply with an undertaking.
He appeared in court Saturday and was remanded into custody pending a future court date.
