UPDATE: As of 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, the intersection was reopened to traffic in all directions
An early morning crash on Wednesday snarled traffic at a busy London intersection.
It was just before 6 a.m. when a service truck, and SUV collided at Wonderland Rd. and Southdale Rd.
The truck flipped on its side, while the other vehicle jumped the curb and nearly slammed into the side of a Wendy’s restaurant at the corner.
Middlesex-London EMS say both drivers had to be extricated from their vehicles and have been transported to hospital, one with injuries described as serious.
Police blocked traffic at the intersection for roughly three hours as they investigated at the scene.
The cause of Wednesday’s crash remains under investigation.
