A vehicle hit a pole then crashed into a building at Bathurst and Harbord streets.

Toronto police are investigating two downtown collisions where vehicles struck buildings. The most recent crash happened shortly before 2 p.m. yesterday near Harbord and Bathurst streets when a vehicle struck a pole, caught on fire, then hit a building.

Two people were transported to hospital.

At the time of writing the source article, InsideToronto.com reports:

The 94 Wellesley bus is diverting both ways via Spadina Avenue from Bloor to Ossington stations.

The 511 Bathurst streetcar is also diverting both ways via College Street from Bathurst to Spadina station.

Both streets are also currently closed in both directions near the crash site.

Just down the street at College Street and Palmerston Avenue, another collision happened a short time earlier when a single vehicle struck a building.

As a result, College was closed in both directions from Palmerston Avenue to Markham Street. Westbound College has since re-opened.

The 506 Carlton streetcar route is also diverting both ways along Ossington avenue from Dundas to Bathurst streets as the rails are blocked.
