Male reported sleeping after collision

A man has been arrested and charged with impaired driving after a two-vehicle collision near Burnhamthorpe and Mavis Roads Saturday.
Peel Regional Police said a female driver called 911 to report her vehicle had been struck by another vehicle at the intersection at approximately 12:57 p.m. Saturday.
According to police reports the driver of the second vehicle appeared to be “falling asleep at the wheel” following the collision.
Paramedics arrived on scene and reported the driver as intoxicated, police said.
Officers arrived at the crash and took the man into custody.
There were no injuries reported.
