One person is in custody and accused of impaired driving after a Toronto police officer was struck and injured while riding a bike in Parkdale.
Paramedics were asked to respond to a patient on Queen Street West and Dowling Avenue at around 1:20 p.m.
In the meantime, the vehicle involved in the collision was seen fleeing the scene.
Shortly afterwards, police were called to the area of King Street West and Dunn Avenue.
The injured officer, who was patrolling the area, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
A suspect was taken into custody for impaired driving, police said.
