No serious injuries were reported after a Durham Regional Transit (DRT) bus was struck by a minivan that didn’t stop at a stop sign.

On Thursday, December 3, 2015, at approximately 10:40 a.m., officers from Central East Division responded to Olive Avenue and Keewatin Street South for a collision investigation. A minivan travelling southbound on Keewatin Street South failed to stop at the stop sign and struck the bus, which was travelling westbound on Olive Avenue. The bus then drove onto the boulevard and struck a utility pole and two parked cars before coming to a stop.

The driver of the bus and the driver of the minivan were taken to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries. None of the seven passengers on the bus reported injuries.

The investigation is continuing.
