Police say a young man was stopped for aggressive driving and found to be impaired.

A young Owen Sound man faces charges after a police officer stopped him for aggressive driving.

Owen Sound police say on Monday evening just before 8:30, an officer saw a 2001 ACURA in the 800 block of 4th Avenue East, being driven in what police say was a very aggressive manner.

According to police, there was a “Complete disregard for the rules of the road and the safety of others,” then the driver reportedly parked his vehicle in the 400 block of 9th Street East.

Police confronted the young driver and say they found him to be impaired by alcohol.

The 22 year old G2 class driver was arrested and his vehicle was towed.

Drivers with a G2 class licence are not supposed to have any alcohol in their system when driving.

The man has court date in Owen Sound in March.
