A Chatham driver, 44, was caught drunk while driving along St. Clair Street near Maryknoll Road, early Jan. 20.
The stop happened around 3:15 a.m..
According to the OPP officer on duty, the driver failed his breath test and was taken back to headquarters. On the way, he threatened the officer.
The driver was charged with drunk driving and uttering threats. He was held in custody until later that morning pending a bail hearing.
