Police say driver was also in possession of marijuana

An allegedly drunk snowmobile driver had their sled stall on a footpath in the city of Peterborough.

Peterborough Police received a phone call from a concerned citizen at about 8:50 p.m. Saturday (9 Jan. 2016) about a snowmobile being driving on the Jackson Park footpath in the Fairbairn Street area.

Officers found the driver and his snowmobile stalled on the path. When speaking with the driver, police say officers noticed the smell of alcohol on his breath. The man was arrested and while being searched police found marijuana.

Kyle Dean Curtis, 28, of Kawartha Heights Boulevard, is charged with impaired driving, care or control over 80 mg. and possession of a schedule II substance (under 30 grams).
