Provincial police have charged a 17-year-old with stunt driving after he was clocked going 50 kilometres over the speed limit in Windham Thursday.

Norfolk County OPP were patrolling Highway 24 when an officer saw a vehicle travelling south at a high rate of speed.

When the vehicle ran through the radar just after 9 a.m., it recorded a reading of almost 50 kilometres over the posted 80 km/h speed limit.

As a result, police charged a Dundas teen with racing a motor vehicle.

He is to appear in provincial court in Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charge.
