Two drivers were charged with speeding

Between July 15 and July 21, North Bay OPP officers were out on patrol conducting traffic enforcement, specifically for Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMV) infractions.

During this past week’s traffic initiative, a total of 18 CMV drivers were stopped during Operation Safe Trucking in the North Bay Detachment area.

One warning was issued, two drivers were charged with speeding, two drivers were charged with moving violations, and one driver was charged for improper documents.

Meanwhile, Temiskaming OPP checked a total of 90 CMV drivers were stopped. Four warnings were issued, 32 drivers were charged with speeding, three were charged with speed-limiter infractions, three were charged with seatbelt offences, one driver charged with distracted driving, eight drivers were charged with moving violations, seven drivers were charged with defective equipment and 12 drivers were charged for improper documents
