Police say they have arrested two people after a traffic stop in Fort Erie turned up drugs, cash and a stolen firearm.

On Monday, Oct. 19 at about 12:35 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop on Poplar Avenue when they seized the items.

Ryan Lever, 21, of Fort Erie, and Saber Lambert, 20, of St. Catharines have been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking a schedule I substance, possession of proceeds of crime, careless storage of a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of property obtained by crime, possession of a weapon, possession of a restricted or prohibited firearm without holding a licence, possession of a restricted or prohibited firearm knowingly not holding a licence and unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon in a motor vehicle.

In addition, Lever is charged with failing to comply with a probation order possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order.

Lambert is also charged with possession of a schedule I substance.
