A 13-year-old Brampton girl hit by a pickup truck on Centre Street North Thursday afternoon has died, according to Peel Regional Police.
The girl had been airlifted to Toronto’s Hospital for Sick children where she was in life-threatening condition. She died of her injuries Friday.
Police have confirmed the truck that hit her, near Prouse Drive, was being driven by an off-duty Peel Regional Police officer, who was on the way to work at the time.
No charges are anticipated, but Peel’s Major Collision Bureau is continuing the investigation.
