A 20-year-old Hamilton man has been charged in connection with a Niagara-on-the-Lake crash where he suffered life-threatening injuries.

On Nov. 18 around 8:20 p.m. Niagara Regional Police were called to the parking lot of the White Oaks Resort and Spa, at 253 Taylor Rd.

An investigation revealed the 20-year-old driver of a 2009 Audi Q7 was eastbound on Taylor Rd., when he failed to negotiate a curve, crossed into oncoming lanes, left the road, hit a culvert and became airborne, police said.

The vehicle landed in the spa parking lot, hitting several parked cars.

He was transported to hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

Cameron Hobbs is charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle. He’s scheduled to appear in a St. Catharines Court in March.
