A 28-year-old Hamilton woman is facing stunt driving charges after she was clocked on the Lincoln Alexander Parkway early Tuesday— going 70 km/hr over the posted speed limit.

Hamilton Police tweeted the incident just before 7 a.m. after the woman, who was eastbound in the area of Garth Street, was caught on police radar.

The speed limit is 90 and is posted on large signs at several interchanges along the route.

“She reached speeds of 161 km/hr. The tow truck is on route!” Police tweeted.

“We can’t stress it enough. This lack of concern for public safety will not be tolerated.”
