Police are looking for witnesses to come forward after a 67-year-old Hamilton man lost control of his black Toyota Corolla and collided with a white Toyota Corolla, before continuing to hit a pick-up truck head on.

The crash happened on Thursday shortly after 7:00 p.m. on Wilson Street between Montgomery Drive and Lower Lions Club Road, in Ancaster.

The driver of the black Toyota Corolla was travelling eastbound on Wilson Street Thursday evening when we lost control of the vehicle he was driving.

The 67-year-old continued into oncoming traffic after hitting a white Toyota Corolla driven by a 59-year-old Hamilton man, before he struck a pick-up truck head on. The truck was driven by a 56-year-old Hamilton resident.

Police say two of the drivers were taken to hospital.

The 67-year-old underwent surgery and is currently in stable, but critical condition.

The second driver transported to hospital was operating the truck and treated for minor injuries. The driver of the white Toyota Corolla was not taken to hospital.

Police say alcohol is not a contributing factor.

The Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate.
