Single Motor Vehicle Collision Leads To Impaired Arrest

A 40 year old female from Peterborough was arrested for impaired driving after being involved in a minor accident on Friday October 2nd, 2015.

At around 9:30 pm on Friday night police attended at a Mount Hope St. address regarding a minor single motor vehicle collision. When officers attended and spoke with the female driver they formed the opinion that her ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol. She was transported to KLPS where she provided samples of her breath that registered nearly twice the legal limit.

40 year old Angela Roode of Douro St. Peterborough was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle with more than the legal limit of alcohol in her blood, failing to comply with a condition of a probation order and driving while under suspension. She will appear on Thursday November 5th, 2015 at the Lindsay, Ontario Court of Justice.
