An Innisfil man received serious, life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle early Sunday in Barrie.
City police say the 21-year-old was taken to Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, then immediately transferred to a Toronto-area hospital – where he remains in serious condition.
Police say the vehicle was travelling on the 20th Side Road, just south of Big Bay Point Road, when the collision took place just after 12:50 a.m.
The 72-driver was not physically injured, police said, and alcohol is not thought at this time to be a factor.
The Barrie police collision reconstruction unit is investigating.
