A man in his early 20s has been charged with impaired driving after allegedly hitting two parked cars with a vehicle he was driving.

Around 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, police were called about a parked, unoccupied vehicle that had sustained damage.

Someone had heard the collision and came outside to see a damaged car driving off, police said.

When officers arrived, they caught up to the damaged car and saw it strike another parked vehicle, Staff Sgt. John Canaris said.

The man was given an alcohol test and “blew over twice the legal limit,” Canaris said.

He was charged with impaired driving and failing to remain at the scene of a collision.
