A 26-year-old man is charged with drunk driving after a cyclist was struck and injured Monday evening in northeast London.

A 27-year-old man was riding a bicycle south on Highbury Avenue and went through a green light at the intersection of Killarney Road at about 8 p.m., London police said. The cyclist and an eastbound pickup truck collided.

The cyclist suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital where he remains in fair condition, police said Tuesday.

A 26-year-old London man is charged with impaired driving causing bodily harm.

He will appear in London court July 26.
