At about 2 a.m. on Sunday (April 19), Shelburne police say officers stopped a motor vehicle for driving without any lights on.

During the traffic stop, officers launched a drug possession investigation.

According to police, more than 150 grams of marijuana, 1.5 grams of ecstasy and another gram of crystal methamphetamine were seized.

Steven Arnold, 19, of Markdale, is charged with three counts of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Brent Bernardi, 22, of Shelburne, is charged with possession of a controlled substance.

None of the charges have been proven in court. Both the accused are scheduled to answer to the allegations in an Orangeville courtroom next month.
