A Mississauga man will survive what were originally thought to be critical injuries after he was hit by a vehicle while crossing Winston Churchill Boulevard at Argentia Road early Sunday morning (Aug. 21), according to Peel Regional Police.
The 26-year-old was rushed to a Toronto trauma centre after the collision around 1 a.m. The vehicle involved was travelling north.
The pedestrian’s injuries are considered serious, but non-life threatening. Peel’s Major Collision Bureau attended the scene, but after the injuries were determined to be less severe than originally thought, the investigation was turned over to 11 Division officers, according to Peel police.
The investigation is ongoing.
