A Hamilton police traffic stop leads to drug charges for a Hamilton man.

A man is facing drug charges after police stopped a suspicious driver on the Mountain.

Police pulled the suspected suspended driver over at Upper Wellington and Sirente Drive just after midnight Sunday.

Officers arrested the man for driving under suspension, but also found illegal drugs.

They seized more than 40 grams of cocaine, more than $1,000 in cash and a bundle of communication devices.

Police also allege they found “other evidence consistent with drug trafficking.”

Brian Mayor, 31, of Hamilton is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and proceeds of crime under $5,000.
