Emergency crews rushed to the Skyway Bridge Sunday afternoon after a series of accidents slowed traffic and sent at least one person to hospital.
OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt said there were three collisions that happened in the Toronto-bound lanes around 1 p.m., and that one man, the driver of a motorcycle, was taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
“There was another crash there involving four or five vehicles,” he said.
“There are other injuries as well, most of those injuries are all minor.”
Schmidt couldn’t immediately say what had caused the crashes.
There were delays in that area, so people travelling on the QEW Toronto bound approaching Hamilton were told to expect delays.
