OPP say officer held driver until uniformed police arrived in St. Clair Twp.

page_OPP_Front_End_31Being off-duty didn’t stop an OPP officer from helping to get a suspected drunk driver off the road in Lambton County.

Police say an officer just happened to be following an SUV along Kimball Road in St. Clair Township Sunday, when he noticed it was being driven erratically.

The officer approached the driver a short time later and held him until on-duty officers arrived.

OPP say the driver blew more than twice the legal blood-alcohol limit, and is due in Sarnia Court on November 20th on charges of impaired driving and being over the legal blood-alcohol limit.
