A Greater Sudbury Police visit to Hanmer on Monday night to check out a snowmobile collision netted officers two impaired drivers.
Greater Sudbury Police say a snowmobile struck a telephone pole on Dennie Street in Hanmer about 8 p.m.
Witnesses called police.
When officers arrived, the driver, who was drunk, was being driven away from the scene by an acquaintance.
The officers followed and pulled that vehicle over. That driver was also impaired.
Both drivers were charged with impaired driving. The motor vehicle driver was also charged with obstructing police.
Police did not release their names.
