SPRINGWATER TWP. – An Essa Township man suffered life-threatening injuries and was air-lifted to a Toronto hospital after his motorcycle collided with a train Thursday evening.

An initial investigation by Huronia West OPP showed the motorcycle failed to stop for a train on Snow Valley Road, west of Wilson Road.

Police say the crash which seriously injured the 23-year-old man took place at 7:20 p.m.

Springwater firefighters and Simcoe County paramedics were also on-scene.
