Driving while suspended has led to drug charges for an Orangeville man.

At about 7:30 p.m. on Saturday (Feb. 21), police stopped a vehicle on Colborne Crescent and discovered the man behind the wheel was driving with a suspended license.

During the man’s arrest police discovered about 100 grams of marijuana as well as a large, but undisclosed, amount of cash.

As the investigation continued police seized approximately 100 grams of marihuana and a large quantity of cash from the vehicle.

Alexander Silva, 22, of Orangeville is charged with possession of marijuana and possession for the purpose of trafficking.

He will answer to the charges in court on March 30.
