Police pull over a pickup truck at night.

Police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed in Flamborough Saturday night.

A 23-year-old male pedestrian was killed in Flamborough after being struck by a pickup truck Saturday night.

Ontario Provincial Police were called to Highway 6 and Carlisle Rd. at 10:15 p.m. and closed northbound lanes of the highway for the investigation. The lanes reopened Sunday morning.

The identity of the man has not been released pending notification of next of kin, an OPP spokesperson said late Sunday afternoon.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck was not injured at the intersection that has stop lights.

Witnesses are asked to contact the Burlington OPP at 905 681-2511.
