This red light camera on the northwest corner of Bloor Street and Dixie Road in Mississauga is one of the 26 intersections in Peel Region where a red light camera is located. Last year, there were 7,009 red light camera tickets issued in Mississauga and 6,996 in Brampton. The set fine for a red light camera violation is $325.

Peel Region Council recently approved renewing its contract with Traffipax LLC, the company that provides and maintains red light cameras in the community and may consider expanding the program that was first implemented in 2000 to reduce the number of T-bone collisions on some area roads.

The Region currently has red light cameras operating 24/7 at 26 intersections.

There are 11 cameras located in Brampton and 15 in Mississauga.
