A Norfolk County man is facing charges of impaired driving causing bodily harm following a collision on Fairground Road on Sunday night.

A vehicle was travelling on Fairground Road when the driver lost control and left the road, rolling the vehicle, said police.

Norfolk OPP, Norfolk County Fire and Rescue Services and Paramedics responded to the scene at about 9:30 p.m.

A 17-year-old passenger suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The driver sustained minor injuries.

The 19-year-old driver has been charged with impaired driving causing bodily harm and with being a novice driver with blood alcohol concentration above zero.

Motorcyclist injured in crash

A motorcyclist suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 3 west of Delhi on Saturday morning.

Norfolk OPP say the motorcyclist was heading west when the driver collided with a van travelling north on Fertilizer Road.

The driver of the motorcycle, a 32-year-old Norfolk County man, received minor injuries and was transported to area hospital for treatment.

The driver of the van was not injured.

A 43-year-old Toronto woman was been charged with failing to yield to traffic on a through highway.

Police remind drivers to use extra caution before entering an intersection or changing lanes.

“Taking an extra second or two can and does save lives,” Norfolk OPP Const. Ed Sanchuk said in a media release.

Dirt bike driver charged

A 17-year-old who crashed his dirt bike on Friday afternoon is facing several charges.

The collision occurred on East Quarter Line Road, North Walsingham, at about 3 p.m.

Police say a male was operating an off-road motorcycle southbound on East Quarter Line Road when he lost control and was ejected from the dirt bike. He suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to hospital for treatment.

The driver has been charged with performing a stunt, unlawfully driving an off-road vehicle on a highway and improperly displaying the licence plate number.

Indecent act investigation

Norfolk OPP are investigation after receiving a report of an alleged indecent act being committed on Kent Street in Simcoe on Friday.

Police say a man was observed engaged in an indecent act while in a vehicle parked at the side of the street. The man fled the area after being confronted. He was last seen travelling north on Kent Street North.

Police were contacted at just before 4 p.m.

The vehicle’s licence plate number was given to police.

Officers will be following up with the owner of the vehicle, said police.
