Date: Friday, April 15, 2016 – 8:00pm

On the 15th of April 2016 at approximately 8PM, Barrie Police attended the area of a downtown intersection for the report of a fail to remain accident. Witnesses were able to obtain the license plate of the suspect vehicle. Officers located the suspect vehicle near the address of the registered owner of the vehicle. The driver was found to be operating the motor vehicle while impaired due to the consumption of alcohol. The driver was arrested and taken to Barrie Police Headquarters to provide breath samples which registered nearly 3 times the legal limit. The accused was charged accordingly and later released with a future court date.

Date: Friday, April 15, 2016 – 10:00pm

Barrie Police were called to a south end address in the city of Barrie a disturbance. Once on scene officers located a 25 year old male who was currently wanted on a committal warrant. The accused was arrested and transported immediately to the Central North Correctional Center in Penetang.

Date: Saturday, April 16, 2016 – 1:30am

On the 16th of April 2016 at approximately 1:30am, Barrie Police were on general patrol in the downtown core of the city when they observed a male party who was unsteady on his feet enter the driver side of a motor vehicle. The officer turned his cruiser around and approached the vehicle as the suspect vehicle was pulling out of its parking spot. The driver was investigated and found to be impaired due to the consumption of alcohol. The driver was subsequently arrested for impaired care and control of a motor vehicle, and transported to the Barrie Police Headquarters. The 30 year old male accused provided breath samples that registered nearly two times the legal limit. The accused was charged accordingly and later released with a future court date.
