On Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at 1:30 a.m. police attended Napier Street, in the City of Barrie after receiving reports of a car on fire.
A 29-year-old Barrie male had been impaired by drug while operating his vehicle, and as a result lost control and crashed into a vehicle parked on Napier Street. Within minutes of the collision the parked vehicle burst into flames.
The driver was arrested and transported to the Barrie Police Station and is to appear in a Barrie court in May.
