A 74-year-old woman was crossing Dundurn Street at the King Street intersection around 3:30 p.m., the SIU says.
A cruiser driven by a Hamilton Police Service officer was headed west. The SIU says the officer tried to turn south on Dundurn when the cruiser hit the woman.
She was taken to hospital with a leg injury.
