NEWS RELEASE
SOUTH SIMCOE POLICE

South Simcoe Police Service officers conducted speed enforcement in Bradford and Innisfil yesterday and handed out 24 speeding tickets.

The officers were responding to traffic complaints from citizens. It appears the cold and snowy roads have not slowed down drivers, including a school vehicle on 8th Line in Bradford West Gwillimbury that was clocked at 78 km/h in a posted 50 km/h zone. The driver received a $135 ticket.

Speeding is a top concern for our residents and one of our main priorities. Please ensure you are not part of the problem by slowing down and obeying posted speed limits, especially during wintry weather. Road conditions are snow covered, icy and slippery. The best way to prevent collisions is to reduce your speed.
