Three drivers are facing stunt driving charges after being stopped by the Ontario Provincial Police near Marathon on Saturday.

About 12:30 a.m., OPP observed a GMC truck speeding on Highway 17 in Lecour Township. An officer operating radar determined the truck was travelling 145 km/h in the 90 km/h speed zone. A 31-year-old man from Stoney Creek, Ont., was charged with stunt driving.

About 1:45 p.m., OPP say they saw a Jaguar car speeding on Highway 17 near Highway 614. An officer operating radar determined the car was travelling 145 km/h in the 90 km/h speed zone. A 36 year-old man from Toronto was charged with stunt driving.

About 5:06 p.m., OPP claim they saw a Pontiac car speeding on Highway 17 near Highway 614. An officer operating radar determined the car was travelling 151 km/h in the 90 km/h speed zone. A 22 year-old man from Calgary was charged with stunt driving.

All three drivers had their licences suspended and their vehicles towed and impounded for seven days.

OPP reminds motorists to contact police to report aggressive and unsafe driving.
