Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a teenager in connection with a hit-and-run crash in which a driver drove across numerous lawns and hit a house, striking a gas line at the side of the house on Friday.
Police said the driver fled the area of Highbrook Street after hitting the house at 3:45 a.m. No one was injured.
The gas leak was quickly fixed.
A 19-year-old Kitchener man is charged with various offences, including stunt driving, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, failing to remain at the scene of an accident, taking a motor vehicle without consent, common nuisance and failing to report a collision.
