Four victims sent to hospital after coach hits object on road, police say

A single-vehicle motor coach crash on a highway near Barrie, Ont., resulted in at least 14 people being injured Sunday.

Ontario Provincial Police Sgt. Kerry Schmidt said the incident happened on Highway 11. The exact time of the collision is not yet known.

Schmidt said the tour bus hit a sign or a similar object while driving on the road.

Schmidt added most of the injured were treated at the scene, while four people were sent to hospital with minor injuries.

Traffic was disrupted in the area, but all roads have now cleared.
