A 22-year old man landed himself a string of charges after fleeing from Thunder Bay police officers early Tuesday morning.

A patrol officer stopped the man’s vehicle on Powley St., but the suspect fled on foot.

Other police units joined in the chase, and located the man in the 500 block of Cumberland St.

During his arrest, police found a quantity of cocaine and a large amount of cash. The man then refused to provide police with a breath sample. Upon further investigation, police discovered he had earlier provided a false name, and was in breach of a previous court order.

He appeared in court Tuesday morning and has been remanded into custody, police said, where he will answer to several charges.
