ONTARIO PROVINCIAL POLICE


Members of the Kirkland Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a male and female with drug offences. The charges stem from a vehicle stop for a traffic violation on Highway 11 in Marquis Township, Ont. The incident occurred on Aug. 23, 2018 at 10:40 p.m.

As a result of the investigation, suspected cannabis marijuana and money was seized. The estimated street value of the seized drugs is approximately $7,000.

Charged are Peter Degeorge, 38 years old of Oshawa, Ont., with one count of possession of a schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking and Kelly Walton, 40 years old, of Hampton, Ont. with one count of possession of a schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking. The accused are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Kirkland Lake, Ont. on Sept. 27, 2018.
