Two people are behind bars after a woman saw her stolen car rolling down the road and started following it.

The woman called Windsor police around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday to report she was following her car after spotting it near the intersection of Aylmer Avenue and Assumption Street. She reported the car stolen on Monday.

Police found the car and stopped it in the 600 block of Wyandotte Street West and arrested two people.

Police said a 19-year-old Windsor man will be charged with theft and possession of stolen property. He also had outstanding warrants for previous offences, according to police.

A 20-year-old Windsor man will be charged with possession of stolen property.

Their names were not released but police said the victim knows at least one of the suspects.
