A vehicle rolled over onto a pedestrian, seriously injuring him, on Queen Street East at Goreway Drive yesterday afternoon, according to Peel Region Paramedics.

The male pedestrian was airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre with multiple fractures and trauma, according to Peel paramedics. His condition was considered serious, but it was not immediately known if his injuries are life-threatening.

The air ambulance was on scene at 2 p.m.

Peel Region Paramedics transported two patients from the vehicle to a local hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries. One of those victims has since been transported to a Toronto trauma centre, according to Peel police.
A third patient was treated at the scene and did not go to hospital.

The collision happened at approximately 1:40 p.m.

Peel Regional Police said preliminary information indicates a tow truck was stopped with another vehicle and the victims, including the tow truck operator, were out of their vehicles when they were hit by another vehicle.

Queen Street was closed in both directions between Goreway Drive and McVean Drive. Peel’s Major Collision Bureau is investigating. The road was expected to be closed for several hours.
